  • Blogs On Selling

Recently, I was asked for a list of some blogs on selling by a group that was looking for sales trainers and speakers.

    So, here’s my list:

This is a category that doesn’t seem to have enough blogs – heck, Jeffrey Gitomer doesn’t even blog. I bet I could come up with at least 12.5 reasons why he should!

Am I missing some good ones? Add your comments and let me know.

    • Gitomer does have his newsletter, but it would obviously be much better if he had a blog. And well, since you're asking for sales blogs I can plug without shame.

Jonathan Hernandez - Sales Yuppie (salesyuppie.com)

My blogroll has others, but many throw in marketing, advertising, or sales & marketing, etc.
    • There aren't many but I do read Dave Lakhani at http://boldapproach.typepad.com/ . My blog is focused more on major sales presentaions not day to day sales training. Why doesn't Jeffrey have a blog? :)
    • For technology sales, www.itsalesideas.com
    • John, thanks for the note. I agree. Not many blogs for sales people--considering there are 25,000,000 of us futzin' around.

I've also really enjoyed your work--keep up the great content. We're going to be adding some audio and video to our site--would love to interview you some time for it...
    • Hi John-

We are the new kids on the blogsphere but not in the sales training world. My 12-year old company TeleSmart provides training for inside sales teams and managers. This week is super exciting as we're running a series of podcasts asking inside sales champions how they are dealing with quarter-end and closing business. Check out the podcast interviews on our blog at:
      www.tele-smart.com/blog.

Your blog is great, I read it all the time and recommend it to my clients.

      Josiane Feigon, President of TeleSmart
    • I agree there are surprisingly few blogs on sales. That said, there is my sales blog SalesItch.com - scratching the backs of the world's sales professionals! Jill Konrath's Selling to Big Companies is very good, along with The Hire Sense (focusing on sales recruitment, but there's plenty of good general sales content too)
    • I sure hope my sales advice Blog http://www.nationalsalescenter.com/sales-traini... brings value to those that read it. I'm always encouraged when I hear from a rep that gained some insight on ways to sell better and things they can do to close more business. At this time, there are well over 300 free sales tips on the Blog.
