Great post John. I totally agree. Podcasting for us has been an amazing way to reach out and make connections in the business community. It's the perfect way to have and share a true experience with a prospect in a non-threatening way.

In fact, we often pull any old visitor to our building into our studio for at least a brief interview. People never forget that unique experience.

By the way, we featured the fabulous Duct Tape Marketing Blog on our latest podcast. You can find it at http://www.greatbigpodcast.com.

I hope you enjoy it and thank again for the wonderful service you provide for all of us business-owners/marketers.

Hi John:

Saw your reply to my blog post over on my BrunswickMediaBlog.

You're right, there's nothing deceptive about this idea, unless it's used that way, but I'm not sure your full point is being made in this post.

If you're going to start a podcast (or blog, or wiki) with the only purpose of getting your foot in the door with potential clients, the idea may just well backfire on you.

Still a big fan of DTM,
Mike Conaty
