		<description>I love the idea of ditching my laptop, especially as I have an old and cheap (and therefore heavy!  :)  ) one!  Using an Ipod has it&#039;s appeals but as a voice &amp; presentation skills trainer (www.curved-vision.co.uk), I&#039;d caution folks about practicing their presentations on the move (one of your cited advantages).

Delivering presentations is a practical thing, not an intellectual thing - that means that (unless you&#039;ve got shed-loads of experience etc.) you should always ALWAYS practice out loud.  Otherwise you&#039;ll not find the places where your word-combinations are harder; you&#039;ll not get your timing sorted out; and you&#039;ll not have the physical exercise of getting your mouth to work!

Practicing in your head just won&#039;t cut it - whether you&#039;re using a laptop or an Ipod!

That&#039;s not to say that the other advantages of using an Ipod aren&#039;t valid, though!
