Feeding the Small Business Ecosystem

Please join me for a free webinar: Feeding the Small Business EcosystemWednesday, April 18th – 1:00 PM PDT | 2:00 PM MDT | 3:00 PM CDT | 4:00 PM EDT

I happen to think that technology is allowing small business owners to think of their world more like an ecosystem than a place on the food chain.Using new technology and new media tools has given even the smallest business a competitive edge.

This will be a very interactive session moderated by WebEx Communications expert Eric Vidal. Come listen but, be prepared to share ways that you and other smart small business owners are using technology to generate leads, close deals, and build vibrant communities.

I suspect the use of blogs, podcasts, RSS, and web apps will be tossed about freely.

    Daniel,

Thanks - I didn't really do that well in science class, but I think you nailed it, there is an interdependence in the success and failure of all the component parts. Small businesses have little choice but to acknowledge and support this. I think really big companies are even getting into the act by understanding that many of the small vendors and suppliers that support them must thrive in order for the larger organism to thrive.
  • John,

I like your term "Small Business Ecosystem" as it suggests an autonomous and connected community of like-minded entrepreneurs.

The internet and all of the communications tools you mentioned have enabled the small business owner to operate on a level playing field in most instances, virtually indistinguishable from their larger business competitors, except for the value they offer.

As a component in such an ecosystem, the successes and experiences of each participant may have an immediate effect upon every other participant. We can all learn from each other in real time!

Thanks for the heads-up on this webinar!

    Best regards,
    Dan
