The thing that frusturates me with google custom search, is the underlining problem with all search engines, and that is how can you trust the credibility of the business that is at the top of the search, or even on the first page? Google is GREAT for information, but when it comes to attempting to purchase products and services, it is time consuming, and a huge head ache!

Thank you John. That does sound different. I added Google Search through AdSense, then, took it out in the past, because I do not want ads to be listed - not reader friendly.

Asako,

I do think this is a different as you can also assign editors to help find and add sites to your engine. They also have a business version that can be purchased without any ads.

Interesting. Is this different from the customized Google Search engine you can create through Google AdSense? I believe with AdSense Search you can also specify the sites which visitors can search from?

Google Gustome search is awesome. I built a search engine that only indexes blogs written by other real estate and mortgage professionals. I add blogs as I come across them.

From the standpoint of my readers, it's far more useful than guessing from a long list of links in my blogroll as to who might be able to provide the information they are looking for.
