What steps would you recommend to a startup online business in its first stages. Currently I only have products listed on e-crater, a free online selling site with shopping cart. There is no ability to customizing codes for tracking customers, just adding of meta keywords and tags etc...Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have met with BOTH SCORE and the SBA. They have been very helpful but it is difficult finding someone with online expertise that would offer specific guidance for an online business venture.

SCORE is a great program, and does a very good job. They are a very valuable resource and staffed by some great people. I have a relative in Chicago that works with SCORE, and I would highly recommend them to anyone.

Nothing like a learning from those who have done it.

SCORE scores big with me. Within the first ten minutes of meeting with a local SCORE rep, I had an aha moment. He immediately identified what I was doing well and helped me strategize ways to capitalize on it.

I recommend it!

I would like to post your SCORE interview on my blog. I would give full attribution and link-backs to your web site; I would prologue and introduce the podcast for my listeners, and I would include the entire podcast episode; if there is no written transcript, I would take the initiative to create a pdf document of the entire transcript and give you the file, as well. I will put you on my list of RESOURCES for my listeners.
I would like to partner with you in this request, because I see it as a win-win request.
Can you let me know if this is possible, and if there is anything else I need to know, as well as your policies? Any document you would have me acknowledge and/or sign?
Thanks,
Fred Castaneda

SCORE is the real deal. I have worked with them in the past. Be sure to also check out your local branch of SBDC's of the SBA too for additional free help.
