  • Pixelfish offers small business video options

    Share

pixelfishYou know you need to add video to your marketing mix. You need product demos, case studies, customer testimonials, and company overviews. You name it, there are lots of great uses for video online and off, but while it’s become much easier to product, it’s still a chore to produce quality video.

I company called Pixelfish is trying to change that by offering several low cost packages that can be created with the help of a nationwide network of videographers. Have a listen to my in the field mobile podcast with Dave Brewer, director of sales for Pixelfish.

Pixel Fish hires cameraman from around the country and doesn't pay them. Our work is seen on Yellowbook.com. We have had to send their accounts to collection agencies to try to get paid from these guys. They lie to us and are not to be trusted.

Pixelfish is not to be trusted. My company was hired to film an interview for them in Feb. of '09 and we have yet to get paid nor will they return our phone calls. I spoke with Michael David of PixelFish several times before the shoot but now after the footage has been sent they are nowhere to be found. Do Not Trust PixelFish!!!!

And don't forget to download all that new video on free sites all over the web. The more you are seen, the more likely your business will be found! Adwido.com is a great free place to start that also provides free link exchange!

This "nationwide network of videographers" is just independent contractors in various cities that PixelFish dupes into performing labor for them and then refuses to pay. When confronted with the delinquent invoice, PixelFish simply finds more unsuspecting saps willing to play the game based on a promise of timely payment. When the IC demands the overdue payment he is removed from the network. Nice scam, huh? Search "Pixelfish + Yellowbook" for the emerging true story, including multiple complaints of this nature.
PIXELFISH LIES!!! They also claim that their "development teams works diligently to ensure that all our customers are prepared the day of the shoot". MORE LIES! The unsuspecting business owners are never prepared, and the videographer does all the work and never gets paid, or does so only if willing to file for small claims or collections.
John McIntire, Lilly Swardstrom, and Cheryl Aken SHOULD ALL BE ASHAMED OF THEMSELVES! Shame on Pixelfish and VIDEOGRAPHERS BEWARE!
