    Can LinkedIn increase your sales?

Consider subscribing to my blog's RSS feed. It's sticky

LinkedIn for SalesMy friend Jill Konrath, author of Selling to Big Companies has compiled a free report outlining ways to use the popular business networking site, LinkedIn, to increase your sales.

Many people are drawn to the promise of millions of connections on LinkedIn but suffer from the “now what” syndrome once they get signed up. There is gold in LinkedIn, but like any social network the secret lies in understanding how to open up access points and begin to make them pay off in mutually beneficial ways.

I would be glad to learn more about managing LinkedIn. I’ve been a member for years, but not used it to great advantage.

One of the best ways to increase your authority through LinkedIn is by checking the Q&A section they now offer. Users ask industry-related questions and select answers that truly help them out.

By answering questions and suggesting experts to others, you can not only build your own reputation and increase sales but also network with others within your industry.

These answers can be shown in your profile to give prospective clients/customers a chance to see your expertise.

Thank you for sharing this file! And thanks to Jill for creating it - I’m definitely at the “what now?” stage.

I’ve found that lots of people are at the “What now?” stage.

We’ve been training people to use LinkedIn to unlock the value of their biggest asset - their network - for a couple of years now.

Check out the testimonials on my LinkedIn Profile http://www.linkedin.com/in/raymondchiplambert

We can help you answer that question as we have thousands of others.

The toughest part of any venture is the follow-through… You get your foot in the door and for a little while you’re feeling proud and saturated with anticipation… But then you realise it’s time to actually do something… Crunch time!!
Thanks for the post by the way.. Going to have to check Linkedin out

Created a LinkedIn profile a while ago, but haven’t spent much time on adding contacts and the like. Like any social networking it relies on your circle of friends and contacts, and the bigger the list, the more exposure…that was pretty much how I saw it, so am interested to see what this report has to offer. Am heading over that way to peruse it now. Thanks for the link!

      John,

Thank you for a great resource. I am a big fan of linkedin and use it aggressively. The Q&A sections have been a great resource for meeting great connections. I have also created on group on linkedin dedicated to seos/sems/social media experts/and pretty much anyone involved in the online industry. we actually have offline events to help people actually get to know who their online connections are, it’s great!

      Hi John

Will go and check out what your mate has to say. I did the same, signed up, it seemed too complicated and then lost interest.

Nice post. Yet another tool for the Sales toolbox that helps the smaller, yet similarly skilled, Reps compete with much larger, more resourced, peers.
