Like I say "Cash is King"

If you have in either in business or at home you are ahead of the game.

It comes down to ROI when spending your marketing dollar.

It never ceases to amaze me that new entrepreneurs just seem to ignore the cash side of a business in the early stages once they have their bank loan.

In the UK we have a phrase that "cash is king"

There are many a profitable business that has gone bust because they have run out of cash.

I guess businesses should just have a decent cash flow forecast on the go or at least read their bank statements, creditors and debtors list on a weekly basis....

I've done business reviews for over 200 small-medium businesses, in the range from startup to £20M turnover.

What amazes me is that probably only 2 or 3 of these even had a cashflow forecast at all.

The rest had no idea, absolutely no idea that cashflow forecasting is so important. Now it's one of the very first things I do with a client to help them feel more certain about business. It's amazing how relaxed they become quickly.

Thanks for sharing the software - I'm going to take a look at this and see how it might help my clients.

Experience is everything... you start geting a feel for yuor budgeting needs, adjusting, tweaking, perfecting, just to have some surprise come along and blow it all out the water again... But the more you do it the better you respond to these catastrophes..

John,

Cash flow is key for small business.

What a refreshing change: a CPA that looks at cash-flow pro-actively rather than after-the-fact, when often times, it's too late.
