I finished reading the Groundswell book about a month ago. I thought it had some great insight into social techonology and the future of social communities. I wrote a blog post on the book and summaried what the Groundswell means and the key components of what makes up the Groundswell.

@Linda - you know I'm going to tell you yes - every small business needs a web presence and there is no better way to get that than a blog.

I don't think blogging needs to be time intensive. Do you read blogs? Do you talk to customers and prospects? Just start thinking in terms of answering questions that prospects and customers have on your blog or pointing out other great stuff you've read that you think your prospects might find useful.

If you have any interest in people finding your website when they search online a smart blogging practice will do more good for you than any other single small business marketing tactic.

I went back and looked at the Hierarchy of Social Marketing...am I totally missing the boat by not having a blog? I'm open to anyone giving me feedback - especially you, John, as I have limited time and blogging is time intensive isn't it?
