This sounds like a really great idea both for the community and business. I wonder if there are any other groups like this around the country?

One of my favorite hospital treats is the Zing Get Well Kit!. Great training programs have given the Zingerman Experience book and the audio CD to many people over the past few years. Anyone that owns a retail business should read the book and I mean anyone.

Contacted them about opening a franchise and they said that was an area they were not considering. After being turned down, became a Duct Tape Marketing Coach. Sorry John!

P.S. Sign up to get the catalog, even if you are not going to buy anything. I look forward to the mail each month. Try the "long peppercorn bacon from Arkansas or the koese peanut butter or...

I used to live in the Ypsi/Ann Arbor area and loved Zingermans. Their food, hospitality and atmosphere was always top notch. Its not all too surprising to hear how they have built their business or rather their businesses. Ann Arbor has always been on the leading edge of culture business development. Other companies should take note at their successful model.

Thanks for sharing this - it was the sign I was looking for :)
