Thanks John,

GetListed.org is pretty helpful AND very easy to use. Our clients like it, too. Please keep the posts coming.

I was impressed with getListed.org at first as well, until I did some testing and saw it had a while to go. Try testing it with "Red Trolley" in "80211". It will tell you that it is not listed in Google. Now go to Google to look for the same business and see it in Google Maps.

I am excited about getListed.org evolving. It is so important that businesses know where they are listed and what the information is in each resource.

It is also key to know where you can list locally online, and how important the engine or directory is in the local "scene".

There is a great resource listing and ranking all the local engines and directories at www.emarketingmatador.com/step-2-local-search-directories. I made this for my clients and share it on my blog now.

I recognized the value during some web analysis for a client where I found the acknowledgement of competitors' listing.

This site doesn't recognize my Google and MSN listings. Any ideas on why this is the case?

I explored this site over the weekend. Great resource. Easy to use and some very helpful information on local search. I think I noticed an improvement already with my local SEO ranks with Google! Great tool. Thanks for sharing.
