    • Networking still follows many of the same "rules' -- but the environment where it happens keeps changing.

      Sometimes it seems to me a little like a treasure hunt, with tantalizing clues about what actions to take next left out in plain sight for anyone to pick up and do something with.

      Daily amazement, and -- for those who stay connected meaningfully -- some big payoffs.

      But the key is always always to be generous with what you offer. It will come back to you in surprising ways. And when it does, it makes your heart smile.
    • Way to hit the goal! Very exciting stuff. I hope there are a lot of residual referrals from people reading the page and hitting up some of the cool companies that were referred.

      Thanks for doing this, John, and thanks to everyone who participated. Like I said in an earlier post/reco, it's something I do a lot anyway (and not even altruistically, b/c DAMN, does it feel good to refer people!), but this brought an added level of awareness to the process.

      Maybe a Referral Day every week, like #followfriday on the Twitter? Hmm....
