  • Twitter Integrates Search into Home Page

Twitter pushed the summize integration live on Thursday adding a new feature to the twitter home page. Now you will see a search box on your home page that will let you conduct and save searches without moving over the search.twitter.com. There are still plenty of reasons to use the search and advanced search function, in fact, use the advanced search to help craft complex search like: “marketing” near:”kansas city, mo” within:15mi that would give me the results of anyone in Kansas City talking about marketing, and then bring the search string to your homepage and save even the most advanced searches.

The video below shows you how easy it is to save new searches to your homepage.

    • the I am guessing that adding search functionality to their website is the first step towards an attempt to monetize the site. search will become a nice value added proposition for advertisers because it will be the user initiated indication of interest... that's big stuff when you were trying to market a product especially in the B2C arena.

Thanks for the quick run-down of Twitter's integrated search! This definitely makes research via the Twitter homepage easy.
