I like this idea and it has a lot of potential. I would be impressed if someone wanting to have a meeting with me sent me food. I think this could be a great conversation starter as well. "Hey Bob, I have an idea I think you will be interested in. Can we get together for say over lunch to discuss it? Yes I am in LA and you are in Boston, but we can do an E-lunch, don't worry about the details.
