Blogging is something I am an avid user of. My blog is still in the process of getting known and not too old yet. I've created several blogs in the past, some I still use and some I do not. Great information and must say going to have to put some of it into use into my blogs.

Blogs have helped my businesses slightly, but I still won't depend on them 100% yet.

Christine
CRBiz Group

Bill that's a great question. Authenticity is key but some folks don't have the time or drive to crank out posts. A good compromise is a) blogging for business coaching that helps you find your own voice, online community, and blog article topics and b) a long term relationship with a great copywriter you trust. Then the process can go something like this: copywriter email or phone interviews you to learn your opinion about a topic, then does the 'heavy lifting' of shaping your thoughts into prose. You take it from there, tweaking so it's in your own voice and ensuring it really expresses what you think. A side benefit of working with a copywriter is that there's another party helping to drive the process -- he or she wakes up each day thinking 'have we gotten that blog content squared away?' and if need be they can poke you a bit until you deliver answers they need to stay on track.

I think that using a blog to help generate leads and awareness for your company is great. Now the question i have is should you blog yourself or in my case learn how. Or should i hire a company to do it for me. I don't necessarily mean a full out advertising or marketing company like http://mindshape.com . Or do you think that would be the best action.
