On Wednesday, May 20th at 9am PDT/Noon EDT I will be joined for a live webinar panel discussion by Ken Yancey, Jr, CEO of SCORE, Tim Berry, founder of Palo Alto Software, and Rich Sloan author of StartUpNation to talk about starting a business. Collectively, this group has poured over thousands of business plans, seen great successes and great failures and advises many a fledgling start-up on the strategies, resources and regulations involved in going out there on your own.

  • Cool beans. I have some questions that I will try to ask. Thanks for the heads up on the time/date

  • Sounds like a great webinar. Will it be recorded and available to watch/listen at a later time?

  • Having a business of our own is the key to ending unemployment. Your very informative post really makes one jump to start it right away. Keep it up and keep inspiring those who are into seeking job to give job instead.

  • John, I'm writing about this seminar over on Bizzia.com. Sounds interesting. Hope you don't mind!

  • Sounds great. I'll be curious to hear how their advice applies to a fledgling professional speaking business.

  • I would love to hear what people have to say about “Why right now is a great time to start-up”. Hear you tomorrow. Thanks for the time/date update.

  • Being in the service industry which has been nearly wiped out, I'm interested in hearing what they have to say. I've dealt with SCORE in the past and have purchased software from Palo Alto.

  • Last week we caught a break and got a free plug on the radio. Instead of the usual 5-10 people per day looking at our site – we got over 1,100 in the next two days! I'm here because of those who obviously were interested enough in our product to go on line and check it out, only 10 ordered…that's why I'll be listening – we're doing something wrong on our website – we need help.
ps We have an exceptional and unique product

Looks like a killer line-up John. I am a great fan and buddy of both Rich and Tim, and I know that SCORE does great work.

Will tune in for sure! ๐Ÿ™‚

A good idea indeed. Waiting to hear from you tomorrow. Will you let me know the time in IST (since I stay in India.). Thanks and regards, Masood

  • I am a small manufacturing business. My product is a mouth rinse solution for canker sores, sore throat, piercings, gum irritations and it is all natural so pregnant women can even use it. It is very effective!

I have a contract I am ready to move on but I lack $38,000 not too much but just enough that I can't seem to find without giving my whole company away, which of course I do not want to do.

What is a good offer on both sides of needed funding? I know I must give to get, yet what is just unreasonable to accept?

    How does webinar work?

  • I mistook Mr. Tim Berry for Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva. Interesting post!
